Child and Youth Network Survey

November 12, 2007 - The Library is proud to be a part of the city-wide Child and Youth Network which is developing a vision for our community's dreams and desires for the children, youth and families who live in London. We want to be sure this draft vision accurately reflects what our community wants for our children, youth and families and would welcome your input. Please take a few minutes to complete this public survey. The survey will also be available in paper form at all Library locations.

All Library Locations are Closed on Friday, November 9

On Friday, November 9th, all library locations will be closed and all library staff will be gathering for a professional development day. This annual day is an opportunity for us to learn new skills and build on previous knowledge. With locations spread throughout London and staff working shifts, this one day of workshops is so important to ensure everyone is enabled with skills and information to provide better service to you!

LPLis proud to support Ambassador London

ambassador london logoNovember 7, 2007 - London Public Library is a proud supporter of Ambassador London, a grassroots campaign to help shape the image of London to a place of global importance and influence where all can flourish - economically, socially and culturally. Ambassador London was officially launched on Tuesday with a public rally at the London Convention Centre that drew nearly 3000 Londoners.

New Community Recreation Centre & Library

October 23, 2007 - A new community recreation centre and library will be opening on the northeast corner of Adelaide and Sunningdale. Construction will be beginning in 2009. The Centre, a collaborative, unique, joint venture between the City of London, London Public Library and the YMCA, will be a LEED Green Building.

This landmark building will provide many services to community members.
