Coronavirus: COVID-19 Updates

We wanted to provide you with an update on the status of library service at London Public Library. At this time, all library locations and return chutes will remain closed until further notice. We look forward to serving you in person as soon as it is safe to do so.

Service Update:

No items will be due, no fines will be charged, and cards due to expire will be extended.

Please do not return any items. Our return chutes are closed. We will provide lots of time after we re-open to return your items.

Programs & events at all library locations (including Wolf Performance Hall) are cancelled until at least May 19.

Programs and Events

All programs and events at all Library locations, including Wolf Performance Hall, are cancelled until at least May 19.

Borrowing (due dates, holds, etc.)

Our Digital Library is free to use with your Library card or temporary card: www.lpl.ca/digital

No items are due until well after the Library re-opens. Please do not return your items until after the Library re-opens. Return chutes are closed.

No fines will be charged.

We have temporarily paused the ability to place holds on physical items (books, DVDs, etc.).  You can place holds on digital items (eBooks, etc.)

You can now borrow and place holds on up to 20 digital items in Overdrive and Libby.

We encourage you to return your digital items as soon as you are down so that they are available to share.

Library cards that expire in 2020 will be extended.

If you have fines or your card expired in 2020, you can still use your card to access our Digital Library.

If you don't have a card or it expired before 2020, you can get a temporary card here.
