LIBRARY UPDATES

Recent updates

ALERT: All London Public Library locations were closed as of March 15.  At that time, the plan was to re-open on Monday, April 6. We will update you here if this information changes.

Our Digital Library remains available and is free to use with your Library Card or temporary eAccount.  Download and stream eBooks, audiobooks, movies, music, newspapers and magazines and find great learning platforms for adults and children.

All programs and events at all Library locations, including Wolf Performance Hall have now been cancelled through May 18.

In the interest of the health and safety of our community and our employees, the London Public Library Board has decided to close all London Public Library facilities to the public starting Sunday, March 15 at 4pm.

This is a very difficult decision to make as we truly understand the community impact of a closure of our facilities, particularly on those who rely on their Library for community space and access to the Internet. We will be monitoring the situation closely, in consultation with local health authorities and the City of London, and will make our facilities available to the public as soon as we are safely able to do so. At this time, the plan is to re-open to the public on Monday, April 6 at 9am. (Branch Libraries open on April 7.)

ITEMS ON LOAN DURING THE CLOSURE:

No fines will be charged and no cards will expire.

No items will be due until after the Library re-opens.

  • Please help by not returning any items until after we re-open.  All return chutes are closed.
  • Items on hold shelves when we closed will remain and will be there for you after we re-open.
  • Please do not worry about fines, due dates or other issues. We will work through any individual account issues with you when we re-open.
  • We have temporarily paused the ability to place holds on physical items (books, DVDs, etc.) while we are closed. We will restore this function before we re-open. Find out more here.

FREE DIGITAL LIBRARY

Use of our Digital Library as always is free with your Library card and includes access to eBooks, audiobooks, local, national and international newspapers, movies, music, magazines and online courses and learning for children and adults.
