Organic Farming

Do you ever find yourself wondering if organic products are worth the extra cost? Would you be more willing to pay that cost if the label "organically grown" was required to meet certain standards and practices to meet certification requirements?

For myself, ever mindful of my eco footprint, I would like to know if organically grown produce is actually better for the environment.

On March 25th, local organic famers will be in the Stevenson & Hunt room at Central Library at 7pm to answer this and many other questions. They will tell us about the food they produce, their farming techniques and what it takes to be certified organic. While you might not be ready or willing to completely switch all food sources to organic this just might be the session you need to hear to justify to yourself paying a bit more for some high nutrient, chemical free organic produce.

Come and meet some of the people who are committed to producing this food source while also  contributing to our local economy.  I am getting my questions ready now.  See you there.
