A fast-paced read

Ally Hughes has sex sometimes is the debut novel from Jules Moulin, writer of the television shows Party of Five and The West Wing.

The novel revolves around college professor Ally, who has always put her 10-year-old daughter Lizzie and her career before anything else. That is, until one weekend when she has a passionate affair with Jake, a former student of Ally's who is ten years her junior.

Fast-forward to ten years later and Jake unexpectedly re-enters Ally's life, only this time he is dating Ally's now-grown daughter Lizzie...

This contemporary romance is a great leisure read as it is light hearted and fast paced. I found the plot to be intriguing and it was a quick read. It is definitely steamy in parts so if you don't like to read that aspect of romance novels then I would suggest passing on this one.

Overall, this was a light, carefree read which we all need once in a while!
