100 years ago yesterday on January 3, 1917, the O'Brien Business College was opened by William J. O'Brien in the Alma Block on the west side of Richmond Street between King and York streets.  In 1925, it was purchased by Norman Stonehouse (1897-1975) who operated the college under the name of the London Business Institute until 1952.
