Have an Interview and Need Help Now?

Whether or not you have time to visit your branch library you have access to great information about interviews on the library's website right from your home computer!

Accessing the Digital Catalogue, clicking on 'Business & Careers' in the 'eBook Nonfiction' menu displays a large selection of eBooks ready to be checked out.  For example, doing a simple search using "interview" as your keyword and selecting "Only show titles with copies available" will give you a good list of eBooks all about interviews that could be downloaded to your computer or laptop within minutes.

My top 5 Resume Tips

You've got only 10 to 30 seconds to make an impression with your resume.  Make sure it counts!

1. Target your job: Match your skills to the position you are applying for, highlighting your most important and relevant qualifications.

2. Avoid writing anything negative: Tell them what you DO have, not what you DON'T.  Include accomplishments, abilities and strengths.  Ask others to give you advice.

Looking for work? Try volunteering.

First, ask yourself these questions:

Will I be able to learn new skills?
Does it open an opportunity for a paid position?
Will the experience provide me with a reference letter or contact name?
Does the opportunity fit the amount of time I can give?
