We Want You To Know: Kids Talk About Bullying

When my daughter was 13 things began to disappear from her desk.  Girls gave the silent treatment.  Or whispered behind her back.  One day she arrived in the classroom to find a portrait she'd drawn had been defaced, a swear word scrawled across it in black marker.  Her teacher was horrified and called me in tears.  We knew who the girls were, but how should we handle the situation?  Call the parents in?  Speak with the girls?  Bring in a mediator?  Was bullying just a part of surviving childhood?

Teen Make-Up Instruction: Just for You!

On Monday, March 29, teens had an awesome time at our Teen Make-Up Instruction program at the Teen Annex in Central Library.  We hope our professional make-up artist will return, she really enjoyed sharing her expertise with these adventurous girls who learned everything about choosing & applying make-up.
