APRIL 13, 2017

Great news!  Today we opened the new grand staircase at Central Library, providing access to all floors.  Access is also available by elevator.

The temporary second floor entrance at Citi Plaza has now closed.  Entrance into Central Library is available on the main floor via the Passageway.  Parking validation and staff checkout is no longer available at the temporary service point on the second floor.  Parking and staff checkout are available at the Lending Services desk on the main floor.

The completion of the grand staircase is an important milestone in the Central Revitalization construction project.  We'll have more exciting announcements over the coming weeks as the construction project nears completion.

March construction Update:

Construction hoarding on all floors has come down, allowing the sun to shine in and making it much easier to find your way around.  Washroom renovations are complete, with access available on all floors!  Public computers are available on the 2nd and 3rd floors.  Visitor passes and accessible technology are available on the 2nd floor.

Please note that the Music CD collection has moved to the 2nd floor and the newspaper and magazine collections have moved to the main floor, on the Dundas Street side.  Daily papers are still available from our help desks.

The Children's Library has moved back into its newly renovated space, which includes an additional program room.  All Children's programs will take place in the Children's Library space.

We are happy to help you find what you need. Please ask staff for help or call ahead before you visit to 519-661-4600.
