A Book For Every Child(R) was nominated for a Pillar Award of Community Innovation and we received news that it has been selected as one of the three finalists!  Considering that LPL and the Friends have built a strong and sustainable program involving about 50 community agencies each year, booksellers and a media sponsor (The Londoner) and have had 20 successful campaigns and have distributed approximately 145,000 books to children who might never have owned a book of their own otherwise, we're pleased that the cooperative work of all involved has been recognized.
