This summer, kids in the TD Summer Reading Club were encouraged to 'read for trees'. For every 20 books read, 1 tree would be planted by ReForest London in the fall. Our London readers rose to the challenge and read 17,355 books which means 868 trees will be planted as a result! Now the tree planting begins and you can help!
This Saturday, October 13 from 9am until noon, the second half of the trees will be planted at 3155 Meadowgate Blvd.
This is great activity that families can do together so please join ReForest London to plant the trees. You can make a difference in our community and support the Million Tree Challenge. For more information about what to wear, what to bring and how to get to the park this Saturday, go to the ReForest London website. Hope to see you there!
Thanks to all who helped plant the first batch of trees on Saturday, September 22 at Byron View Park. We can't wait to watch your hard work grow!
