In My Community

London Reads
Formerly known as "Western Reads", this program, sponsored by Alumni Western, is modeled after CBC Radio's "Canada Reads". It has been expanded to encourage participation by the whole London community to choose a book the whole city should read.

London Reads closed its 2010 season with a celebration of this year's authors, book selections and panelists on Friday April 30. Authors Gil Adamson, author of The Outlander and Marina Endicott, author of Good to A Fault, were in attendance to discuss their books. Richard Wagamese, author of the third London Reads 2010 selection, Ragged Company, was not able to attend the event. Proceeds from this event benefit A Book For Every ChildĀ®.
