We know that students use both the school library and the public library to research assignments and choose reading material.  By working together we can help provide your students with the best possible educational experience.         

Curriculum Support – 24/7!

• The online catalogue is available anytime to find materials in many formats (books, CDs, DVDs, videos and more!).
• Free online access from the Library, school or home to a number of information databases which provide thousands of full text articles from reputable and reliable journals, magazines and newspapers. All that is needed is a valid London Public Library card. For added convenience, temporary e-accounts can be set up to allow access to the information databases if you or your students do not have a card.
• Homework Help on the Teen page of our website provides research tips and strategies, including websites about citations and plagiarism.
• Links to recommended books, websites and other resources on many curriculum topics can be found in the Research section of our website. Have a look at our growing list of research guides on many frequently asked topics.

Class Visits

We invite you to bring your class to any Library location so students can become familiar with the services and resources we offer. Or, we can arrange to visit your class. Online booking and student library card information.

Book an interactive visit for your class to learn how to find magazine and newspaper articles in online databases, search the library catalogue effectively, and use our links to trusted and recommended websites for research.

Library Orientation

Let us show your students what the library has to offer - highlights of our website, programs and services for teens, and resources for assignments. We will show them around the library and allow time for browsing and borrowing.

Independent Reading

We will introduce your students to new and classic authors that appeal to both advanced and reluctant readers. We will present recommended books and  show them how to use NoveList, an online database.

Customized Visit
