Searching for Encyclopedias or Reference Books?

Gale Virtual Reference Library: This online database has a large collection has a large collection of encyclopedias and dictionaries realted to psychology, such as the International Dictionary of Psychoanalysis, Psychologists and Their Theories for Students and The Gale Encyclopedia of Psychology. Click on "Subject Guide Search" and type in "psychology" to see a list of all psychology topics for which there are articles.

World Book Encyclopedia Online: Search for psychology to see a list of all entries with the word Psychology in them. The article "Psychology" nicely summarizes the history of psychology and the main psychological theories. Also you may search by name of theory, such as Gestalt psychology, or the name of theorist.

Biography Resource Center This online database gives thorough biographies of thousands of people, including summaries of achievements.
