Fantasy stories exist in worlds that are not real. These are places where magic rules, and creatures like unicorns come to life! There are also made-up worlds in Science Fiction stories, but instead of magic, these places are created with science and inventions that do not exist – at least not yet! Quite often, Science Fiction stories take place in outer space. Don’t be surprised, however, if you find a book that is on both the science fiction and the fantasy list - many books have stories that have magic and science in their worlds.
