The Practice of the Presence of God

Can God overcome our pride? Brother Lawrence, a mere kitchen helper in a seventeenth-century French monastery had a devotion that could move mountains.  Both the learned and the simple visited him in his cell, and a collection of his conversations called The Practice of the Presence of God became a Christian classic, beloved by both Protestants and Catholics for over 300 years.  Chalk one up for the Almighty.
