Parking Payment for mall or staying over 2 hrs.
I was at the mall today. I forgot my library card, so I have to pay. Fine. But I did not know that there is only one way to pay- by credit card. That is totally ridiculous! Do all people who shop at Citi Plaza have a credit card? I really doubt it. The disadvantaged, low income, disabled are now going to be out of luck if they stay over 2 hrs. in the mall. Why do they go to Citi Plaza? The Dollar Store,Library, Bargin Bin,Bulk Store, are all low cost or free! Students sometimes own a car but they too are usually on a budget. Sometimes these people actually get a ride to do their chores or go to the library. To expect that all people have a credit card is beyond reality. Why would you pay 2 bucks on a credit card? Do we all need to have so much information about who goes to Citi Plaza? Do they sell their information? Do I get to pay security for parking? Can you bill me later? Will I die in my car if I don't have a credit card? Fix the problem. It's stupid, or rehire the attendant!Cash is still a valid method of payment as far as I know.
Parking Machine Takes Cash
Sorry to hear that you had to pay for parking after your visit.
The parking machine outside the elevators on P11 does take bills and coins as well as credit cards. However, if you get as far as the exit, those machines only take credit cards.
If you have suggestions on how to better get the message to people, please contact Citi Plaza at 519 434-5718 and/or Impark 519.433.7511
Internet Filtering
I think when the library board has their meeting in the fall that they should make sure every option has been exhausted before going the filtering route. The library should not even take into account how watching legal porn on the internet may or may not increase violence towards women in the community. The library board should not become value police. Even if the library was to filter porn what would come next? Rated R videos on you Tube?
