FUN-tastic for Families

On Saturday, January 31, bring the whole family to this free, fun-filled community celebration of Family Literacy Day! Starting at 10 am at the Central Library, you can enjoy crafts and activities, stories and music, face painting, pizza, draw prizes and more! There will also be a special theatrical presentation of "The Name of the Tree" by Little Red Theatre at 11 am in the Wolf Performance Hall.  "The Name of the Tree" is an African Bantu tale about hungry animals whose search for food brings them to the Great Lion Queen. She is the only one who knows its name and can help them reach the luscious fruit that grows on the great tree in the jungle. Based on the award winning picture book by Celia Barker Lottridge and featuring lots of audience participation! So come down to the Central Library. The festivities will continue to 2 pm.
