Saturday June 9 is Car Free Day on Dundas Street

Saturday, June 9th, 11a.m. to 4 p.m., London Public Library has activities planned to appeal to all ages! Everyone is invited to leave the car at home, come downtown and party on the street, rain or shine.Teen/Tween Book Giveaways at 12:30pm; 2:30pm and 3:30pm
Check out our facebook pages and twitter feed (or ask staff at Car Free Day for help) for  the SECRET CODE WORD of the hour.  Let the staff in the Teen Annex at Central Library know the Secret Code Word of the hour, and you could win a free teen or tween book!  Limited number of books available, so you'll have to be quick.  Code words will be posted online starting at 11:30am, 1pm and 2pm on Saturday, so stay tuned.

On the Street:  Collectibles Road Show 11am-1pm, Gadget Clinic 1-4pm and GIANT word games 11am-4pm

For the old, or merely collectible, visit our pocket-sized version of an antiques road show. Bring your books, photos, frames, cameras, or coins and our panel of experts will let you know if you own a treasure. Then our knowledgeable staff takes over to offer resources to continue your quest. Please bring your own collectibles. There may be a wait.

And for those of you with a brand new eReader, tablet computer, smartphone or handheld device, drop in to our outdoor gadget clinic. Learn how to download free library eBooks -- the ultimate way to conserve! Please bring your own gadget. There may be a wait.

Bring your eReader, tablet computer, smartphone or handheld device and our volunteers and staff will answer your questions

11 a.m. - 4 p.m. GIANT Family Word Games

We'll have the largest Bananagram game in the city as well as GIANT word searches and GIANT word fun.

12:30 p.m., 2 p.m., and 3:30 p.m. Teens and Tweens have a chance to win special book giveaways by correctly discovering a secret code word. We’ll tweet and post on Facebook a secret code word just before each giveaway time. Teens and Tweens can then go to the Teen Annex Desk inside the library to tell staff the word and you have a chance to win a free book. Quantities are limited.

 The Rotary Reading Garden will be open to relax, read or play a board game.
