No Indigenous Reads

While in Crouch library, I noticed the absence of a display of Indigenous books for the month of June.

Indigenous Reads display

We have shared your full comment with our administration and appreciate your concern. We are sorry that you were not able to locate the Indigenous Reads display at Crouch Branch. Significant displays at Crouch are placed in the Branch display case, where their Indigenous Reads selections have been on display since the beginning of the month. A display of children's materials is also available. Your feedback is helpful to us in learning more about the awareness and impact of our displays.

Crouch Branch also supported the Indigenous Community Garden Métis Festival on May 19 and the Kairos Blanket exercise on May 29 and will continue to make connecting with and supporting Indigenous communities a priority. Feedback and suggestions from our community are key and we thank you for taking the time to share.

You will find the full list of Indigenous Reads material using this link to our catalogue. The titles featured represent the works of current, contemporary and Canadian Indigenous authors and artists as recommended by Indigenous authors, scholars and artists.
