The World Remembers at Central Library

The World Remembers is a Canadian-led project which individually witnesses the names of those who lost their lives in World War I, including those from Canada and fifteen other nations. From Oct. 17 to Remembrance Day, November 11, names of deceased veterans and nurses will appear every 90 seconds on the big screen on the main floor of Central Library, at a designated day, hour and minute. The project includes an Internet database that allows the public to search the display time for loved ones: see
Please note: on Oct. 27, the images will be projected on the 3rd floor (the white wall near the London Room) and on Nov. 3 the images will be projected on a location at Central Library yet to be determined.
This initiative is funded through the support of Library donors.
