Canada Reads is an annual 'battle of the books' competition.  It is organized, hosted and broadcast by the CBC.  This year's winner is Andre Alexis' "Fifteen Dogs"

Battle of the Books!

Nostalgia

What do you get when you pit two science fiction novels, a book about dogs who can talk, a call for action about climate change, and the story of a violent crime in Winnipeg’s North End against each other?  You guessed it – the 2017 Canada Reads!

Canada Reads

CBC's annual battle of the books, Canada Reads, is only just over a month away.  Five Canadians - an actor, a musician, a comedian, a performer and a veteran - have been selected to battle it out to become the next Canada Reads champion.  The Canada Reads debates will take place from March 27 to 30, 2017 and will be hosted by Ali Hassan from CBC's Laugh Out Loud.  Canada Reads 2017 will be broadcast on CBC-TV and CBC Radio One, and will be live streamed on CBCbooks.ca.
