How to be invisible is probably not the most appropriate title for Jack Luna's new book as a lot of people think the desire become invisible falls with people running from the law or those wanting to avoid getting their names on suspected criminals or associated friends in crime lists.

When my daughter was 13 things began to disappear from her desk.  Girls gave the silent treatment.  Or whispered behind her back.  One day she arrived in the classroom to find a portrait she'd drawn had been defaced, a swear word scrawled across it in black marker.  Her teacher was horrified and called me in tears.  We knew who the girls were, but how should we handle the situation?  Call the parents in?  Speak with the girls?  Bring in a mediator?  Was bullying just a part of surviving childhood?
