Personal Transformation

Remember when September meant going back to school, and you were walking around full of apprehension and excitement waiting to see what the year would bring? You absolutely HAD to have new clothes, a new haircut, and lots of new school stuff. Anything to show that you were not the same old you; that this time the summer had changed everything.

But you’re older now, and that’s all over and done with…right?

Personal transformation never really ends. Constantly reinventing ourselves is part of being human. If we’re smart, the older we get the more we realize that change is what it’s all about. Luckily life is full of experiences to spur the process on. This fall we have several programs at the Central library intended to do just that. Join local healer Jitka Malec on October 16th for six weeks of Therapeutic Touch and learn the first steps to healing both ourselves and others. On November 28th Jitka will return to uncover The Hidden Meaning of our Habitual Gestures and how we can learn to use them consciously to enhance our well-being. It’s never too late to start living the life you’ve always imagined! Let Melissa Martin and Tina Chappell walk you through Jack Canfield’s, The Success Principles in Transform Yourself for Success beginning Wednesday, November 7th. For the occult-minded, Melia Helson presents An Introduction to the Seven Rays, a beginner’s look at esoteric psychology and astrology on October 25th. Follow this up on Monday, November 19th with The Soul and its Creative Destiny, presented by international teacher William Meader. Come and learn how to keep body energy in balance (without medication!) on November 17th in Holistic Approaches to Dealing with Chronic Discomfort. Meet practitioners of Massage Therapy, Therapeutic Touch, Reflexology, Reiki, Qigong, Meditation/Visualization and Brain Gym and learn how you can reclaim and enhance your sense of well-being. It’s never too late to go back to school…and who knows maybe this fall really will change everything!
