Coming to the small screen

Douglas Coupland's 2006 novel jPod is being produced as a TV series and will premiere on January 8th on CBC.

The novel is about a group of video game programmers, whose last names all being with "J", and the daily angst of living and working in a development "pod".  I love Coupland's signature quirky style.  The book contains the first one hundred thousand digits of Pi, which takes up over thirty pages.  It also contains lots of pages filled with random numbers as well as the prime numbers between 10,000 and 100,000.

jPod was nominated for the 2007 Stephen Leacock Medal for Humor.  I wonder if it will translate well onto the small screen.
