The other day I was looking at some fascinating illustrations from a 16th century anatomy book.  No, I didn't have to travel all the way to the University of Toronto archives to do so; I simply accessed digital images of the book via the portal.

Our Ontario is a gateway to Ontario's history, heritage and culture in digital format.  Our Ontario provides integrated access to resources from libraries, archives, museums, historical societies and heritage groups.  You can search many collections simultaneously to find text, audio, video and images about Ontario's heritage and culture.  This service is provided by Knowledge Ontario; a collaboration of libraries, cultural heritage organizations and educational institutions that focuses on connecting Ontarians with digital content to support their information needs.  Visit for more information about other resources and services such as Ask Ontario and Resource Ontario.

From a video of an interview with a Canadian veteran to an underwater photograph of a shipwreck in Lake Ontario, you can discover Ontario's unique heritage online.  Have fun exploring!
