Cinema Politica Film Series

Cinema Politica London strives to champion alternative media through the art of documentary film.  Through film, they aim to engage our community with social and environmental issues globally, nationally and locally.

On Monday, Oct. 25th join us for the first film of a monthly series.  We will be screening "Poor No More" at 7 pm in the Wolf Performance Hall.  Hosted by TV and film star Mary Walsh, "Poor No More" offers an engaging look at Canadians stuck in low paying jobs with no security and no future. Mary then takes us on a journey to Ireland and Sweden to compare how those countries have tackled the issue of poverty.  We are also lucky to have executive producer David Langille join us for a discussion after the film.

Cinema Politica will be screening a different film at the Central Library on the last Monday of every month.  Check out the other films in the series here.  For more information on Cinema Politica London, you can also visit their group on Facebook

Hope to see you there!
