Building an Age Friendly London

The World Health Organization has designated London as an Age Friendly City, the second one in North America.  Age friendly cities are places that encourage active aging by optimizing opportunities for health, participation, and security, in order to enhance quality of life as people age.

To promote the opportunities and resources that exist in London, an event for adults, seniors, family and caregivers will be held on October 28th and 29th, at the London Convention Centre, located at 300 York Street.

This conference will provide an opportunity to play an active role in building an age friendly London!

Thursday evening is geared toward children of aging parents and caregivers to learn about what resources are available in the community.  This event is free!

Friday promises to be a fun filled day with keynote speaker Jim Chapman and wonderful workshops.  Older adults and seniors are invited to learn about Age Friendly London and contribute to the Plan.  Lunch, entertainment and exhibitors all on site!  Space is limited and cost is $5.
