London Public Library Employment Resource Centers, (ERCs) are closing! Today, June 23, 2012 we say goodbye to the ERCs at Beacock, Pond Mills and Westmount. On July 7, ERCs at Central library, Crouch and Jalna branches will cease to exist as well.

Don’t despair, you can still do your job search in the library; all you need is a free library card which will give you (90) minutes a day on the public computers . Library staff will be on hand as always to help with resources such as books, DVDs, website links and other resources to support you in your job search. Some of you might be wondering what you will do if you need more help or access to free resources like free faxing and printing? It’s simple, you go to one of the employment service agencies scattered around the city and I bet there is one near your neighbourhood. See the Job Search Assistance in London to find one on our website.

We, the ERC Facilitators wish to thank you for your patronage over the years and it has been marvelous getting to know you and to serve you. Since 1998 it has been a privilege to be part of your job search efforts and your success stories. If the reason you’re reading this now is your interest in finding a job,  we wish you the best in finding one and securing your future career! May you continue to make use of this library resource  and may your endeavors be fruitful!

Always remember change is good!
