Rules of Civility

Author Amor Towles' Rules of Civility is a first novel that is also a New York Times bestseller.   The setting is Manhattan in the late 1930's and it is the story of a young woman who, through a chance encounter on New Year's Eve, is catapulted into the upper echelons of New York Society.  The characters are appealing and it is a page turning story that is sophisticated and entertaining.  The book has won the hearts of many readers and remains as popular today as it did last spring when it was first published.  With a good blend of historical fiction and psychological fiction it could just be one of those rare books that you read a second time.
