Undoing Borders Film Series

 

The library has partnered with No One is Illegal London to present  the "Undoing Borders" Film Series.These thought provoking documentaries highlight the experiences of refugees and newcomers as they adjust to their new lives.

Please join us on Wednesday, August 22nd for a free screening of  "Indian Givers." Indian Givers is a local documentary produced by the Sarnia/Aamjiwnaang-based Kiijig Collective. It is a mixed art film created by Native and non-Native youth to show the reality of life as a First Nations person . This 60 minute film invites the audience on a journey with the characters by stepping into their lives as they reveal the survival of their spiritual identitied in today's world. Learn more about this First Nation and the challenges and triumps that they experience.

Doors open at 6:30 pm and the film starts at 7 pm. The screening will be followed by a discussion with the film's creators, the Kiijig Collective.
