World AIDS Day

To celebrate World AIDS day, which takes place on Saturday Dec 1st, the London Public Library in partnership with the HIV/AIDS Connection is hosting various events throughout the last week in November. One fabulous event that we will be having is an author reading with Canadian author, Allan Stratton. Allan wrote a wonderful book called Chanda’s Secrets about a teenage girl in Africa dealing with the horrors of AIDS. This book was eventually turned into a film titled Life Above All, which was nominated for an Oscar, and will also be screened here at the library. Allan will be speaking at this free event at the Wolf Performance Hall on Monday November 26th from 10-12. All are welcome and we look forward to seeing you at the Central Library for all our events.
