According to Health Canada type 2 diabetes is one of the fastest growing diseases in Canada with more than 60,000 new cases yearly. Can it be stopped and reversed? Can it be prevented?
Join us for the screening of Dr. Neal Barnard talk Tackling Diabetes on Monday, March 18 at 7 pm in the Wolf Performance Hall. Neal D. Barnard is an American physician, author, clinical researcher, and founding president of the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM), an international network of physicians, scientists, and laypeople who promote preventive medicine, conduct clinical research, and promote higher standards in research (Wikipedia) Not only diabetics experience medical results with this diet he promotes. Weight loss, blood sugar control, reduced heart disease risk are the benefits for anybody who will try it for 21 days.
Bring a pen and paper. There will be some recipes shown after the talk.
