Starting September 12 we will screen five films, the latest productions of the National Film Board. This series will present subjects so diverse that we believe everybody will find something that interest them. The Fruit Hunters - September 12 and October 24 - is a fascinating, inspiring and motivating story for anybody who cares about environment, who loves gardening and eating fresh fruit.  Stories we Tell - September 26 and October 17 - a film directed by Oscar nominated Sarah Polley, awarded by the Grand Prix Focus for best feature film in the Festival du nouveau cinéma's Focus category it is not only Sarah's family story. " It’s an intimate film of truth, memory and reconciliation "as Peter Howell, said in Toronto Star review. The People of the Kattawapiskak River - October 10 and November 28 - documentary examines a Northern Ontario region where 1700 of Kattawapiskak Cree are living and where in 2011 state of emergency was declared due to health and safety concerns, its history and causes of the current crisis.Secretariat's Jockey, Ron Turcotte -November 14 - tells a powerful story of Ron Turcotte's, a New Brunswick jockey, extraordinary horse racing career and its tragic end which left him a paraplegic. Buying Sex - November 20 - shows the conflicting prostitution laws in Canada explores the many points of view in the age-old yet contemporary debate.
