If Chinese culture, art and society are of interest to you, then have a look at this new acquisition.  Short Cuts: artists in China is a  visual documentation by the German photographer Thomas Fuesser  of "artists who have influenced and transformed the Chinese art scene" over the last 20 years. "His striking portraits tell their stories by depicting their work...and by documenting a part of contemporary history during a dynamic time in China." Fuesser introduces some of China's important artists, such as Ai Weiwei whose work was recently exhibited at the Art Gallery of Ontario in Toronto, Zeng Fanzhi, Feng Mengbo and others.
