Transgender Dysphoria Blues

Album cover: Transgender Dysphoria Blues

Transgender Dysphoria Blues is the sixth studio album by punk band Against Me and was released on January 21, 2014.

The album deals with gender dysphoria, following the coming out of Laura Jane Grace as a transgender woman.

Rated 3.5 stars by Rolling Stone Will Hermes who also called it "A series of bracing songs about a self-destructive girl in a boy's body".

A lengthy commentary by Pitchfork says with this album "the band splits the difference between old and new into a compact sound that skews more Sex Pistols than Foo Fighters. It's comparatively gaunt for Against Me! as of late, but it yields the stage to Grace's voice, which has never sounded better".
