Book Fair this Saturday!

Join us at the Covent Garden Market from 10 am - 2 pm on Saturday, Oct. 26 for the Local Authors' Book Fair!

Local self-published authors, bookmakers, small presses and poets gather to share ideas, showcase their work and sell poetry, fiction, non-fiction, graphic novels, periodicals. Chat with authors, discover new books and learn about the writing and self-publishing process. Features representatives from the London Writers' Society, the Writers' Union of Canada, Poetry London and the Professional Writers' Association of Canada.

Want to know more about self-publishing?

The Book Fair includes a special session by Paul Cavanagh, winner of the London International Book Fair’s unpublished author award in 2014, on the process of Indie publishing. Paul is a critically-acclaimed local novelist. He was crowned the world’s first Lit Idol at the London International Book Fair in the UK. Some say he reads like a North of 49 Anne Tyler. His first novel, After Helen, was published in Canada by HarperCollins. It is being released internationally (as is his second novel, Missing Steps) through his own publishing company, Not That London.

The book fair is part of Words: The Literary and Creative Arts Festival happening in London Oct. 24-26.  Check out for the complete line-up of great events!  And, get your tickets for the Friday opening night reception featuring Vincent Lam, Guy Vanderhaeghe, Joan Barfoot, James Bartleman, Joe Sacco, Jeramy Dodds, Mark Kingwell, Gary Barwin, and more.
