International Women's Day 2015
5 March 2015 - 5:55pm
March 8th, 2015
International Women's Day is a day set aside for celebrating the economic, political and social achievements of women past, present and future. Originally called International Women's Working Day, this day has been honoured since the early 1900's, when women were facing oppression and inequality. International Women's Day honours the work of the suffragettes, celebrates women's success, and brings light to ongoing issues.

On March 8th, take time to celebrate the achievements of those women who came before us, and do something to make sure that the future is bright for our sisters, daughters, nieces, and the generations of women to come!
The library will be hosting an International Women's Day event on Monday March 9th from 7-9 pm. Join us for a great evening of entertainment, followed by a reception. Click here for more details!
