I love a good cowboy story

If you like a good western story you already know that Louis L'Amour is tops in his field.  If you haven't ever even tried reading a western novel then perhaps listening to one will win you over.  This is the author that I recommend as your best starting point.  L'Amour's characters are always strong, calm and honest and it is easy from the start to figure out the good guy.  The stories are intriguing, the pace is perfect and with miles of rolling grasslands you can enjoy a pleasant trip in the country from the comfort of your home or cottage couch or even your car. Two new L'Amour audio books Crossfire trail and Tucker are sure to be as popular as his other works so don't hesitate to place a hold on either or both of them.  This is perfect summer reading.

In Crossfire trail the lead character is Rafe Caradec, a gambler, wanderer, and soldier of fortune.  To keep a promise to a dying best friend Rafe must travel to Painted Rock, Wyoming where he has to do battle with one of the most ruthless men in the territory.  But, Rafe is a man of his word and nothing will stop him from fulfilling his promise.

In Tucker a young man named Shell Tucker must go in pursuit of three men who stole his father's money.  With his father gone the family is in desperate need so he must find these men and get back the money.  Two of the three men that Tucker is now chasing were his close friends and belonged to a gang of cowboys that he wanted to join.  Will he choose family or friends?
