Scotiabank Giller Prize 2015 short list

The 2015 Scotiabank Giller Prize short list has been announced.  The announcement was made today, October 5, 2015 at the Bau-Xi Gallery in Toronto.  The shortlisted authors are:  Andre Alexis, Heather O'Neil, Samuel Archibald, Rachel Cusk, and Anakana Schofield.

Andre Alexis made the short list for his novel Fifteen Dogs which is also in the running for the Rogers Writers' Trust Fiction Prize.

Heather O'Neill  made the short list for her short story collection Daydreams of Angels.

Samuel Archibald's also made the short list for his short story collection Arvida (released in French but recently re-released in English by translator Donald Winkler).

Rachel Cust made the short lit for her novel Outline.

Anakana Schofield made the short list for her novel Martin John.

The winner of the $100,000 prize, the richest literary price in Canada, will be revealed on November 10.
