The second annual Words Festival is shaping up to be a great event for Londoners!

Words is a new festival celebrating all things wordy: books, poetry, song, children's literature, writing for the screen and stage, new media, spoken word performances and much more.  This year's festival features Linden MacIntyre, Miriam Toews, Terry Fallis, Tomson Highway, Don Gillmor, Russell Smith, Phoebe Gloeckner, Emil Sher, Allan Stratton, poets Julie Berry, Carolyn Smart, Brian Davis. Visit for the complete schedule.

Meet your local authors! We have over 30 talented authors of all genres who are looking forward to sharing their stories with you. Come check out the Local Authors' Book Fair at the Covent Garden Market, 10 - 2 pm, Saturday, Nov. 7th. Are you a writer? Be sure to attend one of the self-publishing workshops at the book fair or submit to WordsFest Zine!

If you have young children, bring them to the Imagination Playground at Fanshawe College's Centre for Digital and Performance Arts.  At 2 pm, Original Kids will be staging their production of "The Snow Queen" at the Spriet Family Theatre.  Visit for tickets.

There will also be guerrilla poets, open-mic nights, performances, exhibits and so much more! Visit for more info.

Tickets are now on sale for the Opening Reception on Friday, Nov. 6th at Museum London! Featuring an interview with Linden MacIntyre and a panel discussion with Miriam Toews, Terry Fallis, Allan Stratton and Emil Sher.

Hope to see you there!
