Summertime and the Reading is Easy

Kristen

Summer is finally here and do you know what that means? Vacations, road trips, days at the beach - all perfect opportunities to catch up on some reading! Whether you're sitting on the dock in Muskoka, catching some rays in Grand Bend, road tripping further afield or just hanging out at home by your A/C, we've got you covered for the best books to read this summer.
  • Is a good biography what you're after? John le Carré: The Biography gives an intimate glimpse of the man behind all those bestselling spy books.
  • Want to read about far away locales? Try A Walk in the Woods, Bill Bryson's entertaining memoir about walking the 2,100 mile Appalachian trail.
  • Are you a fan of nonfiction? Check out any of Erik Larson's fabulous historical reads (my personal favourite is The Devil in the White City)
  • More interested in a light beach read? Try Eight Hundred Grapes by Laura Dave, a book about a runaway bride who returns to her family home to discover that home isn't always where the heart is.
