Agatha Christie is undoubtably one of the most famous of murder mystery writers and she was able to kill off a character using one of a many deadly substances. The chemical and physiological characteristics of each poison was central to Christie's novels as the characteristics of the poisons themelves greatly helped in discovering the murderer.   In A is for arsenic: the poisons of Agatha Christie, author Kathryn Harkup looks at the poisons and how they kill sometimes in very small doses.  Harkup, a former research chemist,  devotes each chapter of her book to a novel of Christie and shares the feasibility of obtaining  and detecting these poisions and how they work on the body.  Full of facts this is a fun read for mystery buffs.
