Jazz it up!

Along with April showers and Spring flowers you can get your groove on and enjoy Jazz music to the fullest measure as this is Jazz Appreciation month.

There's the sophistication of Duke Ellington's arrangements, the edginess of Miles Davis in Kind of Blue, the happy energy of Michael Kaeshammer's piano playing and the sassy swing of Alex Pangman's vocals.

The Jazz Pantheon is immense and you can sample Ella, Billy, Louis, Thelonious, Dizzy, Diana, and Wes in the Library's selection of music scores, books and CDs here.  Listings for live Jazz programs at the Wolf Performance Hall can be found here.

As the saying goes "Jazz doesn't have an expiration date" so start enjoying Jazz this April and continue the whole year through.
