True North Favourite: Georgian Bay and Cottage Country by Carolyn B. Heller
Everyone has a happy place, a peaceful place, a place that brings them joy. One of my places is the Georgian Bay and Bruce Peninsula area. My family settled on the Bruce and farmed it for many years. The farm is gone but my love of the area is enduring – especially near the water. Bruce Peninsula National Park and Fathom Five National Marine Park are simply amazing and breathtaking. I am in awe of the beauty of nature and our country. If you've not visited this area before, I encourage you to make it part of this summer's vacation plans. And to celebrate Canada 150, Parks Canada is offering a Discovery Pass – for all of 2017, this pass gives you free admission and unlimited opportunities to enjoy National Parks, National Marine Conservation Areas and National Historic Sites across the country! Check www.pc.gc.ca to order a your free pass.
