The Grit Uplifted writing workshop begins its new 14-week series on Saturday, June 1.   Meeting on Saturdays from 2-4 pm, the group is "an open forum for learning, self-expression and the building of trust and community for people that are homeless, at risk of being homeless, or have experienced homelessness."

Throughout the series, participants will be provided with organized support for creative expression and skill development, a welcoming and respectful environment for positive social engagement and fellowship, as well as opportunities for self-reflection and the enhancement of one's sense of self-worth.  Writers will also have the opportunity to share their work with other participants, through the Grit Uplifted blog and the its print magazine. Anyone curious about the group should definetely check these publications out!

The program is offered by the London InterCommunity Health Centre in partnership with the London Public Library and the London Homelessness Outreach Network.   No registration is required to attend – the group meets in the Central Library’s Friends of the Library Boardroom on the third floor.
