A Book For Every Child is a fundraising campaign by London Public Library during November and December. Books are distributed to over 6,000 children who would not otherwise own a book through over 40 London area social agencies and schools with low literacy rates. A Book For Every Child promotes awareness of the importance of books in a child's life, supports family literacy and has a direct and lasting impact on children. This year's goal of $18,000 will help us to fulfill the increasing need in our community.

You can:

  • Give financial donations. These donations enable Library staff to purchase new books for babies, toddlers, beginning readers, school-aged children and teens on your behalf.
  • Shop at our in-store fundraisers.
  • Purchase books at participating booksellers who offer a 20% discount during our annual initiative (a list of participating booksellers will be available in November of each year).
  • Consider giving donations as gifts on behalf of someone special. For example, your child's teacher, birthday presents, or memorial donations. We will send a card on your behalf.
