Take and Make
Meet your Neighbours Community Craft
“Art has the power to bring people together. A community craft is a collaborative art project that provides patrons with a way to connect with their neighbours while showcasing their diversity and creativity skills.”
Meet your Neighbours this March Break! Pick up supplies to create a unique self-portrait from participating library branches. Once completed, please return your self-portrait to the library in the envelope provided. Portraits will be on display as a mural until April 16th.
Pick up supplies from any location and return to your library branch in the envelope provided.
You can also register to join us at Stoney Creek Branch to work on your portrait with materials we provide.
Discovery Bags
Pick up a March Break Discovery Bag from any library location, starting March 12 and available while supplies last! Each bag contains a craft, literacy prompts, and more.

Local London author explores the experience of patience for a young child in her upcoming book While We Wait. Learn about Judy Ann Sadler's experience as an author and enjoy a yarn based craft.

Teens
Earn volunteer hours by creating colouring pages that we will use in the Library this summer!
Submit your original work by email to info@lpl.ca by April 15.
Your work should be:
- 8.5 x 11 in size
- created using black marker, with no colouring or shading
- geared towards children 12 and under
- have a summer or "Once Upon a Time" theme (i.e. knights, dragons, castles, kings & queens, etc.)
- an original drawing by you. It should not include images or characters from movies, tv shows or books that are trademarked or licensed
Please include your name, age, school, and attach your volunteer hours form to your email. We will return this to you as soon as possible.
