Writer-in-Residence to Perform Anti-bullying Presentation

One in every crowdLondon Public Library is excited to welcome London area high schools to the Central Library on November 15 to enjoy an exclusive performance from Western University's Writer-in-Residence, Ivan E. Coyote. The one-hour performance carries a strong anti-bullying message as its focal point, and has been created exclusively for high school audiences.  The event will take place from 9:30-10:30 a.m. in Wolf Performance Hall – 251 Dundas St.

Ivan has toured high schools across the country, continent, and in Europe to deliver her exciting and inspiring performances which carry self-esteem-boosting and anti-bullying messages. Her performances are driven by the strong storytelling elements found in her short story collections, her award-winning novel, Bow Grip, and her latest YA collection of stories -the Quill and Quire star-reviewed - One in Every Crowd. Also, as a writer whose work includes material written especially for an LGBTQ audience, she also speaks about the importance of embracing difference.

Those in attendance will be joining classes from other TVDSB high schools, in an event which will surely be inspiring and entertaining to minds young and old. While Ivan has been booked for numerous events during her residence in London, this visit on November 15 will be the only one especially geared toward high school students.
