Bullying Awareness & Prevention Week Nov 18-24: Resources @ the Library

book coverDid you know that Ontario has designated November 18-24 as Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week?  Tragic and terrifying stories of bullying have been in the news lately.  The library has a great collection of links and resources for those who need help to address the issue of bullying.  There are also many teen books that address bullying to borrow from the library.  Ask library staff for help if you need to find out more.

"Bullying is not inevitable.  It doesn't have to be a normal part of childhood.  The more we talk with each other, share our stories, and listen -- particularly to those whose voices aren't often heard -- the closer we move toward a just society," -- Deborah Ellis from We Want You To Know: Kids Talk about Bullying
